报告人简介：
Sebastian Seibold, 现任德国乌尔姆大学教授。2013年在慕尼黑工业大学获博士学位， 先后在加拿大多伦多大学、美国林务局及慕尼黑工业大学从事博士后研究。他的研 究核心聚焦森林生物多样性的驱动机制与保护，尤其以枯木生态系统和昆虫多样性 见长，聚焦跨尺度生物多样性的生态驱动机制、土地利用与气候变化影响、腐殖质 分解格局与驱动因素，以及生物相互作用与生物多样性—生态系统功能关系。相关 成果发表于《Nature》、《Science》、《Trends in Ecology and Evolution》、《Ecolog y》等期刊。同时他致力于将科学证据应用于森林保护策略，并因“在森林生物多样 性研究上的国际最高水平成果”及推动科学成果向实践转化的努力，获得德国森林 科学奖（Deutscher Forstwissenschaftspreis）。
报告内容简介：
To advance our understanding of the processes that shape biodiversity, its effects on ecosystem processes and the underlying drivers, approaches are required which assess different taxonomic groups, particularly different trophic or functional groups, alongside with ecosystem processes. I will share experiences from a regional study in Berchtesgaden National Park, Germany, where a very detailed biodiversity monitoring was established as well as from the BIOCOMP project (https://biocomp-erc.eu/) which is investigating interactive effects of land use and climate on forest biodiversity and decomposition processes globally. Insights from these studies can be discussed in context of the island-ecology research platform in eastern China to develop further ideas.
